Welcome to the Franklin Design Studio

All projects begin in our design studio, integrating thoughtful land architecture and exciting urban design ideas.

Using our 25 years of experience our team of designers and landscape architects will work with you to develop a design brief specific to your lifestyle, residence and site’s unique qualities that can be then refined and developed further to be used independently or in conjunction with our landscape and pool construction services.

To start your landscape journey, Dave or one of our senior designers will meet with you onsite to discuss your landscape needs, ideas, inspiration, budget and lifestyle requirements, while also gathering any necessary site-specific information for the design process.

Initial design consultations for interstate enquiries and local enquiries, when necessary, can take place via phone and video call, along with shared site photos and architectural plans.

The Franklin Design Studio manager will then tailor a specific Landscape Design Fee Proposal, outlining the proposed scope of works and associated fees.

Following acceptance of the fee proposal and subsequent site inspection by our experienced team, we will prepare a fully considered and detailed concept landscape design. Each landscape design is unique and tailored to fit our shared vision of your new exterior space.

Our concept landscape design will include schematic elevation drawings, suggested materials and planting imagery. Optional 3D renders will be available to assist with visualising and understanding how your new space will look and function.

Based on your feedback of the concept plans, our team will make alterations and amendments to ensure the landscape design suits all your needs.

After the concept design has been approved, we are able to progress the landscape design with further details.

Expanding on our conceptual ideas, our team will detail any major structures or features, while adhering to local government regulations and building code, including detailed swimming pool drawings, detailed front fence drawings or outdoor room design.

We will also further develop your design with supporting documentation including, lighting design, irrigation plan, materials schedule, planting plan and schedule.
